The news is full of tragic injustices visited upon our neighbors who have sought refuge here in America. What can any of us do? Join us as we put our feet (and money) where our values are in a tikkun olam opportunity alongside other local congregations. “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” is a Jewish Family Services fun walk to raise money its programs for refugees, for the elderly and for those in our community struggling to feed their families. Last year, our AARC team aimed chai for $1,800 and raised over $2,000 to help these neighbors in need. This year we are hoping to more than double that because a group of congregants have pledged to match everyone else's contributions up to $2,500! Please help AARC represent our values in the community by giving what you can to support the work of JFS and showing up to walk a mile with our neighbors on October 11th.
