A Message From Harpst Street Players

We've had personal experience with JFS helping to integrate an asylum recipient when she arrived in Ann Arbor. Over the years she has been able to unite with her two children, taken increasingly rewarding jobs, and bought her own car and home in South Dakota! The good start she got is worthy of paying forward. The team starts out with a grandpa, a mom, and two kids.

Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County is a private non-profit social services agency community founded in 1993. Originally established by the Jewish Federation of Washtenaw County to assist the growing number of refugee families in Ann Arbor from the former Soviet Republics, JFS has since grown into an organization providing programs and services ranging from older adult caregiving to resettlement and career services and more.
