A Message From The Empowerers

Friends of Jewish Family Service of Washtenaw County, We are writing to share an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of refugees in our community. As you may know, JFS Washtenaw County's Refugee Resettlement Program has been doing exceptional work in providing vital support resettling refugees in our area. They have been instrumental in helping these individuals and families find safety, hope, and a chance to rebuild their lives in a new home. In support of this cause, a group of caring individuals within the JFS Employment & Economic Empowerment program have joined forces to form the Empowerers team for the Walk a Mile in My Shoes event taking place on Sunday, September 10th at Burns Park. As a staff we all work together to aid our clients with finding viable housing, and new work opportunities. As a team, our goal is to raise $10,000 in support of JFS and all the work we do! We are reaching out to friends, family and colleagues in our community to ask for your generous support in helping us achieve our fundraising goal. Any amount you can contribute will directly aid refugees in accessing crucial resources, such as housing, education, healthcare, and job training. Your support will not only empower us to complete the walk but, more importantly, will enable JFS Washtenaw County to continue their vital work in changing the lives of those who have sought refuge in our country. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Thank you so much for your consideration and support. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our team and the event, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team staff at JFS. Let's come together as a community and walk a mile in the shoes of those who have faced unimaginable challenges, supporting them on their journey to a brighter and more hopeful future. With gratitude, The Empowerers Team Walk a Mile in My Shoes Team
