Every family arriving here as refugees left behind the places where their memories were made. Their kitchens, their neighborhoods, their communities. As a JFS board member, I get to see what happens next: families finding homes, kids enrolling in school, parents securing jobs, and new traditions taking root right here in Washtenaw County. JFS has resettled more than 2,000 refugees in the last three years, and I've watched this community welcome them with open arms.
