Join us for a special screening of UnBroken, followed by a Q&A with the creators. This powerful documentary tells the true story of seven siblings who survived the Holocaust through resilience, bravery, and the kindness of strangers.
Proceeds support RISE at JFS – the only resettlement agency in Washtenaw County. Founded to resettle Russian Jews, JFS has been a champion for immigration and continues to support Holocaust survivors through specialized programming. In the last three years, JFS has helped nearly 2,000 refugees from over 20 countries. However, federal funding cuts totaling $4.7 million now threaten the sustainability of these essential services.
Together, we honor the past and stand for a future where kindness prevails.

Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County is a private non-profit social services agency community founded in 1993. Originally established by the Jewish Federation of Washtenaw County to assist the growing number of refugee families in Ann Arbor from the former Soviet Republics, JFS has since grown into an organization providing programs and services ranging from older adult caregiving to resettlement and career services and more.
